Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. S. M. Mustofa Kamal (P.T) has completed Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Bangladesh health Professions Institute (BHPI-An Academic Institute of Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed, CRP) under the Medicine Faculty of University of Dhaka at 2012, He has obtained post graduation degree on Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) on 2018, and Masters of Disability Management and Rehabilitation (MDMR) from School of Science and Technology under Bangladesh Open University (SST-BOU). Currently he is working as a Associate Professor and head of Physiotherapy department at Enam Medical College and Hospital, Savar, Dhaka and International Course instructor (Monroe Medical, northern ireland- UK). Previously he worked as a Assistant Professor at SAIC College of Medical Science and Technology (SCMST) affiliated by Faculty of Medicine (University of Dhaka) and did his outstanding services with Centre for Rehabilitation Services (CRS) as a Junior Consultant (Physiotherapy). Earlier he worked 4 years at Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) as a Clinical Physiotherapist and also done a great job as a guest Lecturer at Bangladesh Health Profession Institute (in the School of Prosthetics and Orthotics – funded by ICRC). From undergraduate student of 4th year he has been involved with various organizations to organize several CPD courses in Bangladesh to develop the professional Knowledge and Skills of Physiotherapists. He has successfully worked with Monroe Medical-UK, University of Peradeniya – Sri Lanka, Lincoln University – Malaysia, Movement Physio & Fitness Academy- Cambodia, PNF Society of India, Physio Foundation of India. He was joined to 2nd World Congress on Manual Therapy, WCOMT-09 in Bangladesh. He obtained “Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound” from Monroe Medical-UK and “Certificate on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound” from UARIB supported by American Institute of Health Science & Technology (AIHST)- USA. He has Completed ‘Kinesiological Tapping’ course from Institute of Kinesiological Tapping (IKT) India, ‘Mobilization of the Nervous System’ (MOTNS) from Neuro Orthopaedic Institute (NOI) Australia, And ‘Mobilization and Manual Therapy of the spine’ from PhysioHealth, India at 2012. He also certified on Dry Needling from India at 2013. He updated his knowledge on PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) by attending to a workshop conducted by PNF Society of India at 2014. PGT on Orthopedic and Sports Medicine certified (BD) and certified on PRP therapy for MSK pain management from SpineOrtho and DPMI. He is a certified and internationally registered Ozone therapist from Ozone Forum of India. He is a general member of Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA, GM-549) and life time international member of Ozone Forum of India. He has conducted workshop/training as an international resource person to the following locations: UK, Cambodia, Northern Ireland, Sri Lanka, Mumbai, Dhaka, New Delhi, Nashik, Surat, Udaipur, Hyderabad, Rajshahi, Phnom Penh, Philippines etc.
